Centerpiece ideas for wedding anniversary party?
my husband and i are having our 20th wedding anniversary, we have decided to have a party,60-70 guest at a reception hall need ideas for centerpiece.Colors navy and cream,please no flowers something different thanks
One of my good friends is doing lighthouses for centerpieces, they are actually birdhouses. They make great gifts to send home with the family, too! Although, the lighthouses have a personal meaning, since she was proposed to on Cape Cod.
If lighthouses aren’t your thing, I have seen some neat Moroccan-style lanterns at Marshalls and TJMAXX and Homegoods. They are tin or wrought iron and colored glass, and you set a candle inside. You could use those, and they would be very elegant and original!
Another fun thing I’ve seen is doing individual cakes on pedestals on centerpieces, or a cupcake display. Your guests would then eat the cake that is placed on their table, instead of a big wedding cake! This can be either less expensive or more expensive, depending on how you do it. But I like this idea for you, because it is an anniversary and not a wedding, so it’s a way of giving everyone cake without it being a big expensive “wedding” cake.
You could also do a collection of pillar candles, 3-5 on each table of slightly different heights. You would have to check with the venue to see if they allow open flames, they may not.
The fish idea isn’t so great, because fish are hard to take home, and you never know if one might die. Then your guests are stuck looking at a dead fish while they eat. This is especially likely to happen if you aren’t familiar with tempering the water and water types.
