Wedding Decor… to use big props or stick with simple table centerpieces.?

My fiance and I are really wanting to go with a “theme” for our wedding. We were considering a movie/hollywood glamor theme because it would give that “fun time” feel we are looking for and it would kind of personalize our wedding to something that we enjoy. We were looking into have a few big decorations that would go along with our theme and just do small simple, yet fun table centerpieces.

I really think you’re going to regret that when you look at your photos in 10 or 20 years. The theme of a wedding is marriage, period. Going overboard with any other overt theme is sort of high school, like you said. Most brides choose 2-3 colors for their theme but don’t try to tie it all together with it all being film related.
