Locking Arms was founded by Executive Director, Tammy Leatherby,

and her husband, Tom, in 2010.   Both Tom and Tammy have had

the opportunity to travel and serve in numerous countries,

usually sharing that experience with short-term teams they

were leading.  After spending nearly 25-years in full-time

ministry,  Locking Arms was Tammy's way to continue sharing

her passion for missions with others – engaging people in the

community, in local businesses, as well as in churches

throughout the US.   With a strong desire to see  people

mobilized and engaged in the work of caring for impoverished

people Tammy surrounded herself with others of the same

heart, and  the work of Locking Arms began.

Tammy has extensive experience leading a missions program

within the church, training, equipping and sending  short-term

mission teams, and helping churches engage at a deeper and more

meaningful level of missions involvement.
